What are you trying to solve?

Three routes, three very different engineering problems. Pick the one that matches your site.

Factories & commercial

Commercial & Industrial Solar

Cut operating cost and hedge tariff exposure without losing a minute of production. Roof-load verified, grid-compliant, GITA-optimised.

Typical system 100 kWp – 2 MWp · offsets 20–50% of daytime load

Battery Energy Storage

Shave peak demand, ride through outages and stabilise supply to automated lines. Sized from your measured load profile, not a rule of thumb.

Residential — Solar ATAP

The no-quota scheme that replaced NEM Rakyat for new home installations in 2026. Bungalow, semi-D and corner terrace.

What waiting costs you

Three timing factors most Malaysian buyers only discover after they have lost a year to them.

600,000

kWh a year, bought at full tariff

That is roughly what a 500 kWp factory array would have generated. Delay it twelve months and you buy every one of those units from the grid instead.

NEM 3.0 closed on 30 June 2025. Homeowners planning around NEM need to re-plan around Solar ATAP — and should understand the difference before signing anything.

YA

GITA is claimed by assessment year

Your commissioning date decides which year of assessment the allowance falls into. Slipping a quarter can push the tax benefit a full year down the line. See how GITA works.

We engineer the whole electrical picture

Most contractors deliver one layer. An industrial building needs four, and they have to work together.

Why it matters

Data centres and automated factories need all four layers specified together. When they come from four different contractors, the integration risk sits with you. See how we scope a data centre.

Why clients appoint EVOLTS

45 years of engineering heritage

Our EPC partners pioneered thermal hot-water systems before moving into solar PV. That lineage shows up in mounting detail and structural discipline.

See completed work

Drone survey, not guesswork

Every project starts with a 3D drone survey and a roof-loading calculation, so panel layout and structural risk are known before quotation.

How we survey

Compliance handled end to end

We prepare and submit 100% of TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and Bomba documentation. You are not chasing approvals.

Schemes and approvals

Payback modelled honestly

We publish indicative pricing and show the GITA-adjusted payback before you commit capital.

Common questions before you enquire

Is solar worth it in Malaysia?

For most landed homes with bills above about RM 300 a month, and for almost any factory with daytime production, yes — Malaysian irradiance is high and commercial tariffs have been rising. The honest answer depends on your consumption pattern more than your roof, which is why we model it from your actual TNB bill rather than quoting a headline percentage. See real cost and payback figures.

How do I choose a solar company in Malaysia?

Ask four things: is the company registered and SEDA-recognised; will they do a structural roof-load calculation before quoting; do they lodge the TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and Bomba submissions themselves; and who services the system in year eight. A quotation that skips the structural survey is not cheaper — it has simply moved the risk to you.

Which areas do you cover?

We are headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and cover the Klang Valley directly, with delivery teams in Penang for the northern industrial corridor and Johor for the south. See coverage detail.

How long does the whole process take?

Physical installation is days for a home and weeks for a large commercial roof. The overall timeline is driven by TNB application and approval, which we prepare, lodge and track on your behalf. We give you an expected date range at quotation rather than after you have signed.

What does it cost to find out if solar suits my site?

Nothing. Send a recent TNB bill and a photograph of your roof and an engineer will return an indicative system size, cost band and payback estimate at no charge. If you want to proceed, the drone roof survey and structural check are also free. Request an assessment.
